October 2010 - Student Feature: A Promise Comes True

What Zachary didn't realize as he walked onto the stage was that this opportunity was setting the stage for his future. For in that small moment, a life changing moment happened as Mr. Burnham was so impressed by Zachary that he promised to provide him a college scholarship if he kept up his studies. Mr. Burnham has kept his promise and Zachary has made the entire Junior Achievement organization proud. Zachary graduated from high school with honors 5th in his class with a 4.53 GPA. Zachary started this fall at UC Davis with a double major in Particle Physics and Nuclear Chemistry, with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. After college, Zachary hopes to pursue a PhD at Caltech or MIT, and would like to work at the Large Hadron Collider in Europe after he completes his degree. Thank you, Mr. Burnham, for making our JA student's dream into reality! |
Eight years ago a student from Parkview Elementary was asked to introduce a San Diego business legend, Mr. Malin Burnham, as he was inducted into Junior Achievement's San Diego Business Hall of Fame. Zachary Ennenga was honored to be selected to represent JA students and was excited to speak in front of 400 guests at the Hotel del Coronado.
