Since joining, John has brought in other potential board members and secured Echo Pacific Construction as the Wine Sponsor for our annual Hall of Fame. "When I gave John his first tour of BizTown in 2005," said Penny Ranftle, Director of Finance Park, "he got it immediately. He understood right away the intrinsic value that JA offers to today's education." Penny also serves with John as President of Poway Unified School District's Board of Education, and has known him since 1989. "He's just a warm, compassionate person. Because the District leadership understands what JA offers, it makes it easier for the Poway teachers to get it, too."
