Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties believes every child deserves an education in economics and finances in order to inspire and prepare them for success in a global economy.

Our goal is to help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace.

In learning these lessons, and putting them into quantifiable action, our students become intimately familiar with economics and finances. They become better prepared to assume their role in the practical world of work and responsible citizenship.

The Organization

Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties has been educating K - 12 students about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy since 1950. We use experiential, hands-on programs to help students understand and master the knowledge and skills they'll need as adults.

We are passionate about ensuring that every child has access to the economic and financial knowledge they will need in the future.

As part of JA Worldwide™ we bring to San Diego and Imperial Counties the power and resources of the world's largest organization dedicated to preparing our youth for life in a global economy. This year we will engage more than 40,000 students in Junior Achievement programs.
