Brian Cahill

With over 25 years experience in the Construction Industry, and part of the Barnhart team for 17 years, Brian has overseen multiple large building programs while actively involved in construction related industry organizations such as the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (C.A.S.H.). Brian serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties. He also serves on the Executive Management Team of barnhart-balfourbeatty.

Brian is responsible for operational oversight of all Barnhart projects throughout the State of California. These include K-12, Higher Education, Military and Municipal clients, utilizing a variety of delivery methods.

Barnhart, Inc. is ranked by Engineering News Record�s as the 6th Largest Educational Builder in the nation, managing in excess of $400M worth of work annually, employing 400 people. The construction company has been building in California since 1983, specializing in K-12, University educational facilities, and Military/Federal contracting. Barnhart is currently ranked as San Diego�s largest locally headquartered construction firm by the San Diego Business Journal. Barnhart is Construction Manager and general contractor for Cities, school districts, Colleges and Universities throughout California, and has been involved in the construction or modernization of over 1,000 education facilities in California over it�s 27 year history.

Brian is a Certified Construction Manager by the CMAA, a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years as a deep sea diver. He graduated from Mesa College with a degree in Aviation Science, and also attended San Diego State University.

While growing up in Michigan, Brian had the opportunity to be involved in Junior Achievement, where his JA Company produced a Saturday morning show that was broadcast on the local radio station. In addition to producing the show, the students sold and produced advertising to local companies which was aired on the radio station.
