Debra Schwartz is the President/CEO of Mission Federal Credit Union in San Diego, California. She had previously served in the dual role of Interim CEO and Executive Vice President since the April 2008 retirement of former President and CEO Ron Martin.
Schwartz is a seasoned credit union executive with more than 25 years of financial services leadership experience. Prior to joining Mission Federal, Schwartz served in senior executive positions as Chief Financial Officer at First Future Credit Union, and as Executive Vice President at San Diego County Credit Union, both San Diego-based institutions. She also held previous operational and finance leadership positions at other California financial institutions.
Ms. Schwartz earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Economics and Marketing from the State University of New York.
Ms. Schwartz and husband, David, have two children, Rachael and Matt. Rachel is currently attending college in New York and Matt is a student at Westview High School. She is very active in community youth organizations, and is a Board member on the Classroom of the Future Foundation.
