What Educators Need to Know About JA San Diego

Thank You, Educators!

As an Educator, you are one of our greatest allies here at Junior Achievement. Without your support for our K-12 Curriculum, our mission of preparing and inspiring the young people of our community to succeed in the global economy would be unattainable. Do you have any questions regarding bringing Junior Achievement Programs into your classroom? See our Educator FAQs. We want to make your Junior Achievement experience a positive one!

We Offer a Unique Experience:

Junior Achievement is unique in that we bring volunteers into the classroom to teach our programs. Whether you select to have JA in a Day or our Traditional In-Class programs. Your class can benefit from having a volunteer from a local university, business, community organization, or even a parent of one of your students to help each student see the real world application of the financial and economic concepts. Calling all 5th Grade Teachers:

Not only do we have the Our Nation in-class program for 5th grade students, but we also have our 5th grade Capstone Program: BizTown. At BizTown, students complete 4 weeks of teacher-taught curriculum, and then come to our facility to run a life-like simulated town that was created to resemble San Diego and our local businesses. We also proudly offer our BizTown experience each year as a week-long Summer Camp.

No matter which of our K-12 programs you choose for your classroom, a noted benefit of Junior Achievement is that each one aligns with CA STAR standards, and will be a perfect fit for your classroom.

We also have plenty of testimonials about the Junior Achievement experience. Add a few of your own there, too.
