Volunteer Orientation & Training
You want to help young people get smart about their financial world and we need your help to do it. All volunteers are given a 2-hour training to learn the best way to communicate these sometimes complex ideas to students.
We offer an orientation every month, and that's the first step to helping students in your community improve their financial literacy.
Volunteer Orientation
WHERE: Junior Achievement
WHEN: Tuesday, October 12th
TIME: 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. (feel free to bring lunch with you)
CONTENT: This orientation is the first step to volunteering in the classroom. Then you will be ready to teach JA curriculum for grades K-12.
NEXT STEP: Please fill out our Volunteer Interest form online. Upon receipt of this form, we will contact you to answer any questions you have about our programs, and help match you with your preferred Junior Achievement placement.
Volunteers must agree to sign, and abide by, Junior Achievement's Volunteer Conduct Policy. They must also participate in a 2-hour training orientation prior to beginning the program and be available to work with students during the normal school day. Classroom Volunteers follow lesson plans developed by JA, but their greatest contribution is the sharing of their life experiences with the students.
