Frightening Fact? Many Millennials Plan to Spend More than $70 on Halloween

Generation known for frugality spending more this year on popular holiday activities

San Diego, CA. - Showing the increasing popularity of Halloween among young adults, a recent survey of 1,000 13-30 year olds by market research firm Ypulse found that those age 18 or older plan to spend $72.21 this year on costumes and holiday-themed activities. Last year, in a similar survey, young adults 18-30 said they planned to spend $56.10 on their Halloween costume. Read More

Junior Achievement of San Diego County (JA) celebrates the Grand Opening for the nonprofit’s newest education center, Mission Fed JA Finance Park. More than 400 JA supporters attend the historical grand opening. Built by the innovative team of Balfour Beatty Construction, the 6,300 square foot, high-tech facility takes “reality-based” learning to a new level by placing students in authentic, real-world scenarios, where they take control of their financial decisions.
