Computer Science Education Week: Dec. 7 - 11

To kick-off Computer Science Education Week, Junior Achievement will be hosting a variety of educational workshops with leading business professionals. Students will be learning amazing things: IT, coding, app-building, video production, computer science and web design.  The goals is encourage them to pursue a career in the growing STEM-related industries.

Although San Diego is the fastest growing area for software engineers in the country, computer science remains marginalized throughout our education system. In fact by 2020, experts estimate there will be one million more jobs than students entering the coding and computer science fields.
