El Cajon Valley High School Wins #ImagineSD Scholarship

Today more than ever, young adults need a strong foundation for making intelligent, lifelong personal financial decisions.  That is why we are excited to announce El Cajon Valley High School won the summer #ImagineSD school scholarship to attend Mission Fed JA Finance Park in the fall. Thanks to the efforts of Elizabeth Wright up to 125 students will come to JA Finance Park and receive a “life situation.”  This includes a family, income based on a real San Diego job, a FICO score, and an opportunity to immerse themselves in an adult role.  During their experience, students face real-life situations, financial problems and will imagine their future career and adult lifestyle.

  • What kind of house can I afford?
  • Do I buy a pricey new sports car or a practical vehicle that works for my family’s needs?
  • How important is my credit rating?

At the end of the day, students are responsible for money management decisions that will ultimately help them be prepared to make better financial decision in the future!

Congrats again to the Braves! We look forward to seeing you this fall.
