JA is Making History!

Volunteer of the Year – Bill Sears with JA's Education Manager Duchi Galvez

JA is making history.  As we close out an incredible 2015-2016 school year, we want to thank you for bringing Junior Achievement programs to an additional 6,843 students this year! With your support we impacted 61,863 students in the 2015/2016 school year, compared to 55,000 last year.  We couldn’t do it without our outstanding  volunteers, dedicated Board and talented staff! Thank YOU for making a difference.

To celebrate JA’s accomplishments, our education team recognized some of the dedicated volunteers working on the front-lines for JA kids during a Volunteer Appreciation event in July.   Please join JA in celebrating:

Volunteer of the Year – Bill Sears

Bill Sears has been a key JA partner for the past six years.    He has delivered life-changing programs to 51 classrooms and dedicated 204 hours to serve as a JA volunteer. Thank you Bill for all that you do. We celebrate your determination to inspire and prepare the next generation of San Diego’s leaders.

Company Volunteer of the Year – PwC

PwC has been a significant supporter for JA, providing both volunteers and financial support across multiple school districts in San Diego County.   The company generously sponsored the entire JA Day at El Toyon Elementary in National City.   Employees volunteered at five other elementary schools and hosted a job shadow for high school students from Mt. Miguel in Grossmont Union High School District.  WOW! Thank you PwC team!  We salute your commitment to invest in the future of our students.
