PGA Professionals from around the World Swing for a Good Cause during “Birdies for Charity” Event at the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open
San Diego, Cali (Feb. 4, 2015) -- Junior Achievement of San Diego (#JAofSD) is partnering with Farmers Insurance and the Century Club of San Diego to raise funds during the “Birdies for Charity” event for the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open at the Torrey Pines Golf Course, February 5-8, 2015 (#FIO15) (#SeeYouAtTorrey). The Birdies for Charity campaign aims to raise more than $160,000 for 12 organizations throughout San Diego that serve at-risk and underserved youth and military families. The Birdie for Charity funds will help #JAofSD impact over 53,000 students in K-12 classrooms throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Junior Achievement’s volunteer-based programs teach kids how to get a job, start a business and how money works.
The program is simple: Individuals or corporations make flat donations or pledge donations for every birdie made by the professional golfers during the competitive rounds of the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open. Birdies for Charity maximizes donations received with a bonus prize that is shared among the participating nonprofits.
To help Junior Achievement inspire the next generation of San Diego leaders, we invite you to donate through this unique initiative and maximize your donation today at: www.BirdiesForJA.org
