Junior Achievement of San Diego to Host Two Summer Camp Programs to Ignite Students Entrepreneurial Spirit and Promote Interest in STEAM-related Careers Summer Camp

Registration begins February 9th for students at jasandiego.org

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 3, 2015— Don’t miss a chance to register your child for an unforgettable week at Junior Achievement’s McGrath Family BizTown Summer Camp and JA STEAM Robotic Camp. 

JA BizTown Summer Camp is an exciting week full of fun activities that will jump start your child’s entrepreneurial spirit. The camp includes “Producers Place” which encourages campers to think outside the box and envision a new business venture including a full business plan, product and presentation. Throughout the week, the campers will also prepare to run the much-anticipated JA BizTown on the last day of camp!

AGES:  9 -12 years old

GRADES:  4th to 7th Grades

WHEN: July 6th-10th or July 20th -24th, 2015. 

TIME: Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm 

COST: $255

WHY:   This interactive project-based camp teaches students how to manage their own personal finance and the importance of becoming a professional in our community.  It empowers them to dream big beyond the classroom and reach their full potential. 

JA STEAM Robotics Camp offers teens a variety of engaging and interactive activities in a high-tech environment to encourage them think beyond the classroom and pursue a career in math, science and technology.   During the week-long camp, students enjoy building and programming robots from LEGO Mindstrom kits.  Teams work in a competitive, high-tech environment where they learn the importance of engineering and problem solving.  A field trip to LEGOLAND adds to the week of fun!  We invite you to join us for this amazing STEAM Camp experience.  Junior Achievement of San Diego is partnering with The Kid’s College to deliver interactive lessons.

AGES:   11 -14 years old

GRADES: Middle School

WHEN:July 13 -17th

TIME:  Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm
