Junior Achievement of San Diego County Announces the Grand Opening of Mission Fed JA Finance Park

Officially Opening Its Doors in October, the Park will teach Thousands of High School Students and Families How to Plan for Career and Financial Success

Junior Achievement of San Diego County (JA) celebrates the Grand Opening for the nonprofit’s newest education center, Mission Fed JA Finance Park. More than 400 JA supporters attend the historical grand opening. Built by the innovative team of Balfour Beatty Construction, the 6,300 square foot, high-tech facility takes “reality-based” learning to a new level by placing students in authentic, real-world scenarios, where they take control of their financial decisions. The JA Finance Park experience allows students to imagine who they want to be, while providing hands-on tools to plan for their future and reach their full career potential. Read More

More than 400 guests attended JA’s 27th Business Hall of Fame at Fairmont Grand Del Mar on Tuesday, Sept.15 sponsored by Jack in the Box Foundation. JA’s student ambassadors and teens helped host the black-tie event featuring dinner, auction and awards. Junior Achievement’s Hall of Fame to Celebrate the Best in Business and Philanthropy

The nonprofit will honor four visionary leaders on September 15, 2015

Junior Achievement (JA) of San Diego will induct four visionary leaders into the San Diego Business Hall of Fame on Sept. 15, 2015, at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The 27th Annual Business Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding business and philanthropic leadership over a career span of service in the San Diego community. This black-tie event will feature dinner, auction and awards presentation for the 2015 Hall of Fame laureates. All proceeds from the event benefit JA’s mission to impact 53,000 students each year by teaching them how to get a job, start a business and how money works.
